There are two different bus lines that run from Don Mueang (DMK) airport to Bangkok; the A1 and the Airport Limo Bus Express. The cheapest and most convenient bus is the A1, which leaves every 5 minutes, takes 20 minutes to reach Mo Chit Bus Station and costs just 0.85€ (30 Baht). The Airport Limo Bus Experience is a much more modern and comfortable bus, but it takes 60 minutes to reach Khao San Station and costs 4.30€ (150 Baht). However, from both Mo Chit and Khao San bus stations, you will need to switch to the BTS Skytrain or MRT Subway to reach the city centre of Bangkok.

Both the A1 bus and the Airport Limo Bus Express can be found outside of Door 6 in Terminal 1 of Don Mueang (DMK) airport. As soon as you step out the door you will see a sign saying 'BMTA Bus'. Follow this and you will see the orange A1 bus and the white Airport Limo Bus Express just in front of you.

Convenience

Although the A1 bus leaves every 5 minutes and takes just 5 minutes to reach the Mo Chit Bus Station, you then need to change to another form of transportation to actually reach the city centre of Bangkok. Not only does this add to the cost and extend the time of your journey, but it means you will need to navigate the public transportation system of a new, foreign city.
