What are some local foods that travelers have to try when they visit Madrid?

Cocido, suckling pig and fabada! The best place to get Fabada is Neru, located near Plaza Mayor. Cocido, which is a chickpea-based stew with meat and vegetables, can be found at the oldest restaurant in the world, Botin. And the suckling pig is a popular dish served around town.

What is the best kept secret place to go in Madrid?

A lot of people don’t think there is a good lookout point to get a bird’s-eye view of the city, but there is. It is located in a park called Parque De Las Siete Tetas (named after the seven small hills surrounding it) in the Vallecas neighborhood.
