Unfortunately, there is no direct train line from Munich Airport to Salzburg. First, you will have to use the S8 train line from the airport towards Ostbahnhof east train station or Munich Central Station. Trains depart from the airport every 10 minutes and they take around 30 to 40 minutes to reach the east station of Munich or Central Station.

Next, you can take one of the available train lines towards Salzburg Hauptbahnhof main train station. Trains leave approximately every 15 minutes and the average travel time is 2 hours.
