You have four different transfer options when travelling from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Florence; taxi, private transfer, bus or train. The most comfortable and convenient option is to take an airport taxi, as the service is quick, easily available and door-to-door, taking around 3 hours.
When it comes to the cheaper public transport options, whilst there are no direct services, the bus is your best bet. You’ll need to take a train to Tirbutina Station first and then hop on a Flixbus service. Whilst this option takes around 4 hours and 20 minutes, the combined price starts at just €22.99, making it the cheapest option by far. Alternatively, you can also get there by train. Again, you’ll need to take at least two trains for this route, coming to around €55.90 and with a trip duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Rome at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
