You must first take a taxi or two public bus transfers from Thessaloniki airport to the The Halkidiki bus station (KTEL), which is located 9km north from Thessaloniki. From there you can choose your bus line depending on your final destination in Halkidiki. Tickets from the bus station to Halkidiki range from 7.80€ to 16.80€.

Choosing a bus transfer from Thessaloniki airport to the Halkidiki bus station is fairly tricky, as there is no direct bus line. You will need to take the 78 or 78N bus to the Emporiko Kedro IKEA in Thessaloniki city centre, and then change to bus line 36 and head to Halkidiki bus station.

You need to take the bus 78 or 78N from the airport (check the bus schedule here). Then get off to Emporiko Kedro IKEA and change to bus line 36 and get off to the end destination that is Halkidiki Bus station. Bus line 36 takes around 15 minutes to reach Halkidiki bus station.



Convenience

Taking a bus from Thessaloniki airport to Halkidiki is extremely inconvenient and slow. Plus, as you need to take a taxi to get to the Halkidiki bus station, it can also be quite expensive. There is no direct bus line from the airport to Halkidiki, and you will need to change bus lines depending on where your final destination is.

If there is anyway to avoid taking a bus to Halkidiki I would recommend not to do it. Taking a taxi is almost the same price in the end, and is much quicker and more comfortable.
