Getting from Valencia Airport to City

Valencia Airport operates three different modes of transport into the city. There are the options of taxi, bus and metro.

The airport taxi journey will take around 20 minutes with a fee of around 21€. There are alternatively two public transport methods. The metro will take you to the centre in around 25 minutes and costs 3.90€ for the journey. The bus is the cheapest method, costing 1.50€ and taking approximately 25-30 minutes. All methods are available directly from the airport.

How to get from Valencia Airport to centre by taxi

Taking a Valencia airport taxi is the most straightforward and quick option if you want to get to the city centre. The taxi rank is located opposite the arrivals terminal. Most taxis are white and will display a green light if they are free, as well as display a licence inside. The taxis are usually reliable, but it is best to discuss your destination and approximate price of the journey with the driver beforehand. The taxi journey on the quickest route in normal traffic should take a maximum of about 20 minutes into the city.

How to get from Valencia Airport to centre by Metro

The metro service to Valencia city leaves from the airport every 15 minutes on weekdays between around 5:00 am – 23:30 pm, and every 20 minutes from around 7:00 am on weekends and holidays. The journey should take around 25 minutes into the centre stop named Xativa, which you can reach by taking either lines 3 or 5 (green and red on the metro map).

Valencia Airport (VLC) has a bus line that stops at multiple areas before (such as Manises) and in the city of Valencia. The journey will take around 25-30 minutes dependent on traffic. The bus runs from 5:20 am to 22:00 pm, leaving the airport departures area every 22-26 minutes during the week, and every 35 to 40 minutes on Saturdays. There is no bus service available on Sundays.
