Welcome Pickups Referral Programme

Our Referral Programme allows our travelers to receive Reward Credit by referring Welcome Pickups to their friends. 

In order to participate in the programme, one must agree to these terms, which then become part of the general Welcome Pickups Terms and Conditions. 

Definitions 

Throughout this document, the following definitions apply: 

  • "Referral Link" refers to a unique URL for each user provided by our platform.
  • "Referrer" refers to a user of Welcome Pickups who shared a Referral Link. 
  • "Friend" refers to a person who the Referrer has shared the Referral link with.
  • “Reward Credit(s)” refers to the 5 EUR discount the user receives.

How to earn Welcome Pickups Reward Credit? 

Welcome Pickups travelers can receive Reward Credit under the following conditions: 

  • The Referrer has booked a Welcome Pickups ride in the past and has a valid email address in their profile. 
  • The Referrer will be credited with 5 Reward Credits (1 Reward credit = 1 EUR ) per referred friend in the following ways: 
    1. 1. The Referrer will send the referral link to their friend(s). The friend must be someone who has never booked a Welcome Pickups ride before 
    2. 2. Reward Credit will be automatically applied to the Referrer’s profile once the Friend(s) books and completes a ride using the Referral Link 
  • The Friend will also be credited with 5 Reward Credits specified in their referral invitation. They will receive this credit by creating a user profile when clicking and following the instructions on the referral link. When they proceed to checkout they will be able to apply their Reward Credit under the payment method on their first booking.

How to redeem Reward Credits? 

  • Reward Credits may only be redeemed for trips booked and paid via the Welcome Pickups platform. Once earned, credits will appear in the user’s profile section within the app/website. 
  • Reward Credits must be redeemed within one (1) year from the date of issue, after which it will automatically expire. This applies to both the Referrer and the Friend. 
  • Reward Credit cannot be redeemed for rides purchased off site using external third-parties or for certain providers that have been integrated directly into Our Services such as Aegean Airlines, Booking.com and others. 
  • Reward Credit may not be earned if the Referrer and the Friend are the same person or if that person has created multiple Welcome Pickups Accounts. Reward Credits accrued in separate Welcome Pickups accounts may not be combined into one account. 
  • The value of Reward Credit is subject to currency fluctuation and/or currency exchange rates*. 
  • If for any reason a Welcome Pickups traveler believes there is a discrepancy regarding their Reward Credit balance, they can contact Welcome Pickups via [email protected]. Welcome Pickups may require the user to submit additional information in order to assist in correctly determining their account balance. All decisions regarding a Reward Credit balance will be final and at the sole discretion of Welcome Pickups.
  • Reward Credits are coupons issued for promotional purposes only; they have no cash value and may not be transferred or exchanged for cash. 
  • Welcome Pickups travelers are responsible for any and all tax liabilities that may arise from the redemption or use of Refer a Friend. Where applicable, Welcome Pickups may be required to account for VAT on any services for which the credit is redeemed. 

Sharing Referral Links 

Welcome Pickups referral Links should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes and should only be shared with personal connections who would appreciate receiving these invitations. Referral Links should not be published or distributed where there is no reasonable basis for believing that all or most of the recipients are personal friends; for example, on coupon Websites or blogs. Referrers are prohibited from spamming anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute a Referral Link. Referrers are prohibited from paying to advertise their Referral Links. 

Multiple Referrals 

For the Friend:

A Friend may only use one Referral Link. If a Friend receives Referral Links from multiple Referrers, only the corresponding Referrer used by the Friend for their first purchase via the Welcome Pickups Platform will be eligible for Reward Credits in the Referral Programme. 

For the Referrer:

A Referrer may share as many Referral Links as they would like with different people. 

Severability 

If any provision in these terms are held to be invalid, non-binding, or unenforceable, such provision or the part of it that is making it invalid, non-binding or unenforceable, will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions. 

Termination and Changes 

Welcome Pickups may suspend or terminate the Referral Programme or a user’s ability to participate in the Referral Programme at any time and for any reason. 

We reserve the right to suspend participation or eligibility to receive Reward Credit if we have reasons to believe that participants are acting in a disingenuous, abusive, or fraudulent manner of if said participants are in violation of the general Welcome Pickups Terms and Conditions and/or these Referral Programme Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to review and investigate all Referral Programme activity and to suspend participation or modify referrals at our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate. Reward Credit earned through fraudulent activities or activities in violation of the Welcome Pickups Referral Programme Terms will be null and void and repayment may be requested by Welcome Pickups. 

We can update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these Terms, we will post the modification on the Welcome Pickups website, applications, or services, which are effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Referral Programme after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification. 

The scope, variety, and type of services and products you may obtain by redeeming Welcome Pickups Reward Credit can change at any time. 

* A referral’s local currency equivalent credit amount will be calculated using a system-wide rate, known as the base exchange rate. This rate is used for currency conversion using data from one or more third parties. We regularly update the base exchange rate, it may not, however, be identical to the real-time market rate.
