Arriving at Lyon Airport

As you disembark the aircraft after your flight lands at Lyon Airport, you’ll notice signage inside the terminal guiding you toward the Arrivals Hall. Before you get to the Arrivals area, you’ll have to clear immigration unless you’ve flown on a domestic flight. You’ll be required to present your passport and any other relevant travel documents to the border guard, though those traveling with European passports may use the e-gates instead.

From here, you’ll continue to Baggage Reclaim to collect your checked luggage. As you walk toward the Arrivals Hall, you’ll pass through customs, where passengers carrying goods to declare will be subject to inspection. In advance of your visit, be sure to familiarize yourself with the customs regulations for entering France.

Lyon Airport Transport

Lyon Airport taxis and private transfers depart from right outside the Arrivals Halls at Terminals 1 and 2. If you’d prefer to travel by public transport, make the five-minute walk to the train station in front of the terminals. Here, you’ll be able to catch the tram to the city center or to other destinations in the region. Alternatively, you can hop on one of the buses operating outside Terminal 1.
