Arriving at Montreal Airport

After disembarking the plane, you may be able to walk directly into the terminal or take a shuttle bus to the YUL terminal. Then, you’ll need to go to border control. You can check the Montreal Airport website for more details on visa-exempt passport holders. You’ll also be asked some questions about your trip by the border force staff. Once you’ve passed through passport control, you can collect your luggage from the baggage reclaim area. The conveyor belts are marked with your flight number and airline. After collecting your luggage, there is one more step.

In the customs area, you need to hand in your customs declaration form (if applicable), and your luggage may be subject to a mandatory search before heading into the Arrivals Hall at YUL Airport.

Note: If you’re traveling with a pet, you’ll need to show a health report and pay an entry fee.
