Ankara Airport Live Departures
Checking in at Ankara Airport
The Departures level at Ankara Airport in Turkey is divided into an international zone (counters A-B), and a domestic zone (counters C-E), where you’ll find each airline’s check-in counter.
Upon arrival at the airport, check the digital monitors by the entrance to find the counter specifically for your flight. You will need to check-in in person if you are traveling internationally and require a visa, and if you have luggage.
Otherwise, it’s possible to check in online up to 24 hours in advance, or to use the self-service kiosks in the Check-in Hall. Just keep in mind that there isn’t a “Bag Drop” counter, so if you have luggage, you’ll need to queue up regardless.
*Before making your way to the airport, we suggest confirming that your flight is running to schedule by using our live flight tracker above which shows the Ankara Airport departures for today.

What’s next?
Once you’ve checked in, make your way to the Security gates with your passport/ID and boarding pass ready to present. Regardless of your destination, you’ll be asked to remove any metal objects such as keys, coins, electronics, and belts, as well as loose items such as hats, wallets and jackets, and place them in one of the tubs provided.
If you’re flying overseas, you’ll also need to separate liquids (gels, creams, aerosols) with a volume of 100 mL or less into a clear, resealable bag, before also placing the bag into a tub. We recommend preparing for this step before arriving at the airport, so that items greater than 100 mL can be packed into your checked luggage.
It’s not uncommon to wait for 20 minutes more in security lines at Ankara Airport. The only way around this is to sign up for the TAV Passport program, which grants you access to a Fast Track lane, as well as a range of other benefits.
