CPH Airport – Live Arrivals

Copenhagen Airport Arrivals Information

Copenhagen “Kastrup” Airport is a large airport with three terminals. The first terminal is primarily used for cargo and a handful of domestic flights. Terminals 2 and 3 handle the majority of domestic flights and all international flights. If you fly to Copenhagen, regardless of your airline, it’s more than likely your flight will arrive at Terminal 3 as this is where the passport control desks are located. Your plane ticket should display this information or you can check the live airport (Copenhagen Arrivals) board above.

Arriving at Copenhagen Airport

Once you disembark your plane at Copenhagen Airport, follow the signs to “Passport Control”. If you are an EU citizen travelling within the Schengen region, you don’t need to go through passport control (but keep your passport close just in case).

If you’re travelling from outside of the Schengen states, regardless of whether you’re an EU citizen or not, you’ll need to pass through passport control. Once you get there, you’ll find self-service electronic gates for qualifying passports. If there’s a little electronic passport symbol on the front of your passport, you can use the e-gates.

If you’re non-EU or you don’t have an electronic passport, head to the manned passport desks. These are split between “EU, EEA and CH” citizens and “All other passports”. Once you’ve passed through passport control, follow the signs to baggage reclaim to find your luggage. Then you can walk through the customs area (you can check the customs regulations for Denmark here).

Copenhagen Airport Transport

There are plenty of reliable transport options for airport arrivals in Copenhagen. The airport taxi stand is directly outside of Terminal 3. There is also a taxi rank reserved for taxis to Sweden if you’re heading there. The metro is a direct extension of Terminal 3, and therefore a super convenient way of getting to Copenhagen city centre. If you’re looking for buses and coaches heading to Denmark and Sweden, you’ll find plenty at the bus stop outside of Terminal 3. (For more details on transport, check out our Copenhagen Airport Guide.)
