Arriving at San Jose Airport
After disembarking your plane at San Jose, follow the signs to passport control. If you’re arriving on a domestic flight, the Arrivals process is quicker as you likely won’t need to pass immigration. You’ll pass straight through to the domestic Arrivals Hall in Terminal B.
However, all international flights will pass through passport control, where relevant travel documents will be checked. Make sure you have a valid passport and visa (if applicable).
Once you’ve gone through immigration successfully, you can head to the baggage reclaim section if you have checked luggage to collect. If you lose any luggage, consult the airline desks in the Arrivals Hall.
After baggage reclaim, there is a customs area. If you know that you’ll have items to declare before you fly, you should fill out the Customs Declaration Form available from the US Travel Bureau.
