Quito Airport Arrivals Information
Quito Airport has one passenger terminal and one travel, food, and shopping center opposite. It’s home to 12 airlines. Though the passenger terminal is split into international and domestic flights, there is only one Arrivals area that is located on the ground floor.

Arriving at Quito Airport
Upon disembarking your aircraft, follow the signs for “customs”. Passport control only applies to those arriving on international flights. If you have an e-passport, you may use the e-passport gates. Otherwise, your passport will be checked and possibly stamped by a border control officer. If you have a long-stay visa or other travel documentation, you’ll need to present this at passport control.
Next, follow the signs to the luggage claim area. There are four conveyor belts that will display your flight number above. Wait by the conveyor belt to collect your luggage. You can also book luggage storage services from here.
Once you’ve collected your luggage, you can make your way through customs. If you have items to declare, wait by the tables for a member of staff. If not, you can walk through to the Arrivals Hall.
Quito Airport Transport
There are plenty of transportation options at the airport for Quito Arrivals. The primary transport option is to take a taxi. Quito Airport taxis are available 24/7 from the authorized taxi stand just outside of the Arrivals Hall. They provide comfortable, efficient rides to the city center in just 40 minutes (depending on the traffic conditions). If you’d like to skip the taxi queue, we suggest booking a Quito Airport transfer from a trusted international company like Welcome Pickups. That way, your friendly, English-speaking driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall, holding a sign with your name on it.
If you’d rather take public transport, there are buses available from 06:00 to 22:00 every day. You can find the bus stop to the right on the curbside as you exit the Arrivals Hall. Buses can take 1 hour to 1 hour and 35 minutes to reach Quito city center.
What to do in Arrivals at Quito Airport?
Quito Airport Arrivals has plenty of services and facilities for your comfort and convenience. You’ll find bottle-filling stations, accessible toilets, baby change areas, ATMs, and charging points. If you booked a private transfer or tour with a company like Welcome Pickups, there are meeting points in the Arrivals Hall.
You’ll also find a small selection of coffee shops and newsagents so you can refresh and stock up before your onward journey.
If you want more restaurants, you can head to the South Terminal—also known as the Quito Airport Center. This is a short walk away from the passenger terminal and has a wide range of eateries at the food court on the first floor. The ground floor is reserved for travel agents and Quito Airport offices.

Quito Airport Arrivals Parking
If you are picking up someone from Quito Airport, you can park outside of the terminal building for up to 15 minutes for free. However, you cannot leave your vehicle unattended as this is for immediate pick up and drop off only.
Need a longer stay than 15 minutes? You can access the Quito Airport Car Park close to the terminal, or you can park at the Wyndham Quito Airport Hotel.
If you have parked at either of the parking lots, you need to go to the parking payment machines in the South Terminal (Quito Airport Center) to pay for your parking. You can pay by card or cash in US dollars.
