Checking in at Antalya Airport

The first step to a smooth departure from Antalya Airport is to figure out which terminal you’re flying from. Given there are three terminals in two buildings, it’s easy to get lost. 

Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 (also called the Domestic Terminal) are in the same building. They have separate entrances but you can also walk from one side to the other from inside the building. 

Terminal 2 is around 2.5 km away from the main terminal building, You can take an airport taxi or public bus to get there.

Once you’ve located the correct check-in desk, follow your airline’s instructions to drop off your bags and collect your boarding pass.

When to arrive at Antalya Airport?

It’s recommended that departures from Antalya Airport arrive at least 2 hours before their flights. This will allow you enough time to get through check-in and security screening.

Antalya Airport uses the EU protocols for hand luggage screening, which are as follows: 

  • Hand luggage must not carry any sharp, dangerous or poisonous items (consult this list).
  • You must place all gels, liquids, and aerosols into individual 100 ml containers. Those containers must be carried in a clear plastic bag. (Exceptions apply for medications, baby food and duty-free goods. Speak to the screening officers for guidance.)
  • Put any metal objects and place them in the trays provided. 
  • Remove any outerwear and place into a tray. 
  • Place your hand luggage onto the conveyor belt. 
  • Walk under the metal detectors when prompted.
  • Collect your items on the other side of the metal detectors.

What to do in Departures at Antalya Airport?

Like at most modern airports, Antalya departures is fully equipped with all the facilities you need for your travels. This includes toilets, baby change facilities, seating and charging points. Free WiFi is available throughout the airport for up to 30 minutes.

All terminals have prayer rooms and children’s play areas. Smoking areas are also available on the terraces of the terminal buildings. 

A wide range of eateries are available depending on the terminal. Terminal 1 has a food court serving everything from local cuisine to quick bites. Though Terminal 2 has fewer options, you’ll still get a decent choice of coffee shops, fast food and sit-down establishments.

As for shops, multiple duty-free shops are located throughout the airport for both departures and arrivals. There are also plenty of clothing, electronics and travel accessory brands to peruse while you wait to board your flight.

You can get to Antalya Airport by bus, tram or taxi. Taxi is the fastest and easiest method as it only takes 20 minutes from the city centre.
