Birmingham Airport offers comprehensive Assisted Travel services for passengers with reduced mobility or hidden disabilities like hearing impairments, visual impairments, Autism, and ADHD. These services include dedicated staff support, wheelchair or personal mobility aid provision, and assistance with arrival and departure processes such as security or passport control. 

You can book assistance services in advance with your airline or tour operator, or contact the Assisted Travel Team directly – at least 48 hours in advance. If you need full assistance from the Assisted Travel desk to your flight, a team member will meet you at the agreed point of arrival 2 hours prior to your departure. The Assisted Travel reception desk is on the ground floor and there are help points scattered throughout the airport complex.

Birmingham Airport offers an exclusive VIP FLY service, providing passengers with a premium and personalized experience through the airport. The VIP FLY service includes specific packages for arrivals and departures, both starting at £99 (€116).

• Aspire Lounge + Club Aspire (South) include unlimited Wi-Fi, runway views, complimentary food and drinks, and a quiet zone – with prices starting at £36.99 (€43) for adults and £21.49 (€25) for children under twelve.

• No. 1 Lounge includes a mezzanine level, a sports lounge, and a bistro area. The lounge also offers buffet-style food, and unlimited WiFi – with prices starting from £34 (€40) for adults (12+) and £20 (€23) for children.

To book an airport lounge at Birmingham Airport, you can book in advance on Birmingham Airport’s website. Try to do this ahead of time to avoid not securing a reservation. Alternatively, the Emirates Lounge is exclusive to Emirates First Class and Business Class passengers or Skywards Gold Members.

Birmingham Airport provides a free WiFi service throughout the terminal building, which you can access in 30-minute slots. Simply open your browser, log in, and just repeat the process when you run out of time.

Birmingham Airport offers a variety of baggage services for travellers passing through:

• Baggage Wrapping is available to protect and secure luggage, with prices starting at £13.50 (€15.80) for cabin bags and £18.50 (€21.60) for larger items. 
• Baggage Weighing kiosks are located in the North Terminal Check-in area for you to check your luggage weight before check-in.
• International Shipping services are on offer if you need to avoid excess baggage charges.
• Left Luggage services are available for up to 3 months, with a safe and secure storage area and a receipt given for collection.
