Arriving at Muscat Airport

After disembarking your flight, you will make your way through to the large Passport Control Hall. Here, you will need to have your passport and visa on hand to show the Border Control Officers. It’s important to note that all international visitors to Oman (aside from GCCNs) require visas for the duration of their stay in the country, so be sure to have this when entering Passport Control. Once you have made your way through passport control, you will walk out into the baggage claim area.

Muscat Airport Transport

Muscat Airport (MCT) is connected to the city centre of Muscat by both a public bus and local taxis. Taking either the 8 or A21 bus will get you into the city centre of Muscat in around 35 minutes and is the most budget-friendly transport option. Alternatively, you can take a local taxi and reach your hotel in Muscat in just 10 minutes. There’s a dedicated Muscat Airport arrivals pick-up area if you’re looking to quickly collect your loved one from the airport. However, drivers aren’t allowed to leave their vehicles and the maximum wait time is 10 minutes, after this, you will be asked to leave the area.
