Arriving at Split Airport
When landing at Split in Croatia, airport arrivals can head straight to the Baggage Claim area if they’ve flown domestically; otherwise, they’ll first need to pass through Immigration. Passport Control is divided into two channels, one for EU citizens who are part of the Schengen Zone, and the other for all other nationalities.
If you’re part of the Schengen Zone, you simply need to show your official form of ID, such as a passport or driver’s license. Citizens of other countries are typically allowed to visit for up to 90 days and may need to apply for a visa before traveling. Many non-Schengen countries can visit for up to 90 days without a visa; however, this timeframe applies to the entire Schengen Zone, not just Croatia, and is limited to a 180-day period. In both of these cases, a valid passport with at least 3 months validity will also need to be presented.
Additionally, come mid-2025, around 60 visa-exempt countries will need to apply for an ETIAS travel authorization before they depart for Split (unless they are already in the Schengen area). The ETIAS will cost just €7 and will be valid for 3 years, during which time the same 90/180-day limitation will stand.
After clearing Immigration and collecting any luggage, passengers can then proceed to Customs. If you have nothing to declare you can continue through to the Arrivals Hall.
Split Airport Transport
Arrivals at Split Airport have the choice of several transport options, ranging in price, travel time, and convenience. If you’re after an easy and direct transfer, a Split Airport taxi or private transfer can be arranged during the airport’s opening hours. Otherwise, you can take the public bus or train, or the privately run Pleso Prijevoz shuttle.
All transport options are accessible from the Ground Floor, however, the public bus stops are located a 5-minute walk from the terminal. Furthermore, the train doesn’t leave directly from the terminal so you must first take a bus to Kaštel Stari train station.
What to do in Arrivals at Split Airport?
For travelers landing at the airport in Split, the arrivals area doesn’t offer much in terms of restaurants and cafes, however, it offers all the necessary facilities for your smooth onward journey. These include an ATM, currency exchange booth, accessible toilets, baby-changing stations, a lost and found desk, transport services, an information desk, and a food and beverage kiosk.

Parking is limited to just 5 minutes in this spot and drivers must remain in the car. If you need a little bit longer, the P2 parking lot is for visitors without a permit and costs €1.50 for up to one hour.
