Tampa International Airport is the main airport in Tampa, Florida. With over 24 million passengers transiting through it each year, TPA can be quite busy during certain times of the week. It’s a single terminal airport split into two zones: the Red side and the Blue side.
The Red side refers to the north side of the airport. Here you’ll find the check-in desks and baggage reclaim belts for airlines like Air Canada, Spirit Airlines and British Airways.
On the Blue side, you’ll discover the check-in desks and baggage reclaim for American Airlines, United, JetBlue, and others. (Check out the Tampa Airport map for more details.)

Terminal Information
Tampa Airport (TPA) is a unique airport using multiple modern strategies to streamline the millions of passengers who pass through. One aspect that makes it different is the north and south side split of the building. For efficiency, TPA is split between the Red (North) side and the Blue (South) side. Each airline belongs to one side or the other for baggage reclaim and check-in. Tampa International Airport also divides the departures lounge into airside wings. These have their own security checkpoints, a selection of restaurants and shops.
