Tampa Airport Arrivals Information
Tampa Airport is a small airport with just one main terminal building. The Arrivals Hall is on the ground floor. To make things easier for passengers, the airport is split into the red side (north) and the blue side (south). The side you’ll be arriving at depends on the airline you’re flying with. Arriving at Tampa Airport
Once you touch down at Tampa Airport, follow the signs to “Passport Control”. Here, you’ll find the airport’s automated passport control machines. This is a customs form and passport checker all in one.
The first screen will ask you some questions about yourself and your reasons for travelling to Florida. Then, your passport will be scanned by the machine. Finally, your fingerprints and photo will be taken. If you’re American or Canadian, you can bypass the fingerprints and photo step. Travellers under 14 or over 79 years old also do not need to provide fingerprints.
Around 80% of travellers should be able to use the passport control machines with no issues.

After passing through customs, you can head to baggage reclaim. Where you do that depends on whether you arrived at the Tampa Airport Arrivals red or blue side. Tampa International Airport blue arrivals will collect their luggage on the south side of the airport, whereas Tampa Airport red arrivals collect their luggage on the north side. What to do in Arrivals at Tampa Airport?
The Tampa Airport Arrivals Hall is quite simple. It’s primarily used for baggage reclaim and then connections to transport. However, there is a newsagent on the red side and a Starbucks coffee on the blue side. You’ll also find basic facilities such as accessible toilets, information desks, and free WiFi.
Tampa Airport Arrivals Parking
There are three car parks at Tampa Airport. The short-term car park is located on floors 4-9 within the main terminal building. This is ideal for collecting Tampa Airport Arrivals as you can park for up to one hour for free.
