Checking in at Al Maktoum International Airport
There are two ways to check in for your flight at Dubai Al Maktoum Airport (DWC). You can either check in online with your airline (usually 24 to 48 hours before your flight) or directly at the check-in desks in Al Maktoum Airport departures. If you have large luggage, you will be able to check those at the desks as you get your boarding pass. If you are traveling with carry-on luggage only, you can proceed straight to security.

What’s next?
After checking in for your flight, you can then head to the DWC Airport security checkpoint. As you enter the queue for security, you will be met by a member of staff who will ensure you have a valid ID and your boarding pass. So, keep these on hand for easy access.
You will then be asked to place all of your belongings into the bins provided for them to be scanned. Be sure to empty your pockets of all items, including phones, keys, and money. At this point, all liquids must be under 100 ml and placed in a transparent bag. You can then walk through the body scanner and collect your belongings on the other side.
As Al Maktoum Airport departures only see a few flights per day, you can easily pass through security in 5 minutes. However, passengers should still leave ample time for security procedures as the airport can get busy during peak season.
