Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport – meaning ‘Golden Land’ in Thai – is the largest and busiest airport in Bangkok and the entire South East Asia region. Located 30 km from the city center, this modern airport welcomes more than 50 million passengers a year in one of the most visited destinations in the world. There are two terminals, a large main terminal, which is connected to a smaller satellite terminal. Together they are home to more than 110 airlines including major carriers Thai Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific.

Access to the terminal is made easy with ample car parks reserved for disabled parking in Zones 2 and 3, nearest to the terminal. Inside Bangkok Airport, there are elevators and ramps, as well as accessible toilets located throughout. If you require wheelchair assistance, it is best to notify your airline at the time of booking, or at least 48 hours in advance, so that assistance can be provided on arrival.

Bangkok International Airport has one main terminal (Terminal 1) which is divided into 7 concourses, and a new satellite terminal (Terminal 2) that passengers can reach from the main terminal via an Automated People Mover (APM) train. Bangkok main airport terminal is used by major carriers for international and domestic flights, wheres as Terminal 2 is primarily used for low-cost carriers. 

*You can walk from one end of the terminal in 10 to 15 minutes or hire a buggy cart.
