Arriving at Bucharest Airport

After disembarking, follow the signs for ‘Arrivals’ as you enter the terminal building. If you’ve arrived on a flight from outside the Schengen Zone, you should make your way to the Passport Control area, which is divided into EU and non-EU citizens. Keep in mind that some countries may be required to present a visa or additional documentation before entering Romania. For passengers arriving on a flight from within the Schengen Zone, you can skip this step and continue to Baggage Claim.

There are six baggage carousels, refer to the information boards to find which one corresponds to your flight. After collecting any luggage, walk through the Customs barrier (green if nothing to declare, red to declare) and enter the Arrivals Hall.

Bucharest Airport Transport

Passengers can easily make their way from Bucharest Airport to the city centre using public transport. There are two bus lines – including an express service – and a train that departs from in front of the airport terminal to Bucharest North Railway Station, where you can connect with the metro.

For more convenience at affordable rates, airport taxis can be booked in the Arrivals Hall or taken from out the front of the terminal from the designated taxi rank. If you’ve arranged a private transfer, vehicles typically depart from the P2 car park directly in front of the terminal.
