Denver International Airport (DEN)

Showcasing expansive views of the Rocky Mountains, few airports in the world inspire as much awe as Denver International Airport. Consistently ranked among the top 10 busiest airports globally, it welcomed more than 82 million passengers in 2024, further cementing its role as a major contributor to Colorado’s economy.

As the only international airport in the state, with 1600 flights a day, the airport is an important hub for homegrown carriers United Airlines and Southwest Airlines, as well as other low-cost carriers like Frontier and JetBlue, and major airlines such as Air France, Copa Airlines, and Lufthansa.

Special Assistance

Denver Airport is equipped with lifts, ramps, elevators, and accessible bathrooms to enable passengers with reduced mobility to move through the terminal with ease, and electric carts are available upon request. Airport staff are also available to assist; keep an eye out for those wearing a purple or gray top or head to the information counter in each concourse.

If you require wheelchair assistance, this will need to be arranged through your airline, preferably at the time of booking, but up to 48 hours in advance is also fine. Denver Airport is also part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, providing Sunflower Lanyards to passengers with a hidden disability.

Terminal Information

Designed to resemble the surrounding mountain ranges and the Native American teepees that once graced the Colorado landscape, Denver’s award-winning airport is certainly a sight to behold. Passengers will start their journey in the Jeppesen Terminal, where baggage claim, immigration, and check-in take place, before proceeding to one of three concourses (A, B, or C) for boarding.

Jeppesen Terminal is divided into an East and West side and is connected to each concourse via a pedestrian walkway (to Concourse A) and an Automated Guideway Transit System (AGTS). The train departs from the basement level of each terminal, with a journey time of 3-5 minutes. Once you arrive at your concourse, you’ll find most amenities in the Center Core, the central area of each concourse.

*The Cell Phone parking lot also provides free WiFi, bathrooms, and a handful of eateries where you can grab a bite to eat while you wait to drive up to the main terminal.
