Arriving at Glasgow Airport

After touching down in Glasgow and getting off the plane, follow the signs to “Passport Control”. According to the UK Border Force, all passengers must pass through passport control apart from those travelling on domestic flights. Make sure you have a valid passport and visa (if applicable).

EU, EEA and UK citizens with electronic passports can use the self-service e-gates. Otherwise, you can head to the manned immigration desks to have your travel documents checked. If you’d like to speed up the process, you can purchase a pass for the Priority Passport Lane for £6.99 (8.17). You’ll need to book this online at least three hours before your flight departs.

Once you’ve gone through passport control, follow the signs to “Baggage Reclaim” if you have checked luggage.

From there, you can head to customs.

  • If you have items to declare, follow the red lane. Wait by the tables and a customs officer will consult with you shortly.
  • If you have no items to declare and are travelling from a non-EU country, follow the green lane.
  • If you have no items to declare and are travelling from an EU or UK country, follow the blue lane.
