Nightlife in Santorini Best Clubs and Bars

Santorini is a beautiful island particularly popular for its unique, romantic views and sunsets as one looks out over the endless blue sea. But, in keeping with the rhythms of the day, people relax on the beach or by the pool during the day and when the hot edge cools down and the view over the caldera is illuminated solely by the moon and twinkling stars, activity heightens and the nightlife begins. To cater to the diverse needs of visitors and locals alike, Santorini offers a broad variety of nightlife options for everyone. From relaxing beach bars to nightclubs pumping music until sunrise, you’ll find it all on the island. Many located in the capital Fira, with others (particularly beach bars) in the nearby villages of Perissa, Perivolos and Kamari. There may come some days when you simply do not want to leave the beach, which is completely understandable. Otherwise, you might want to make it back there to watch the stars over the open water with the waves lapping your feet. The beach bars are quality places and usually remain open until midnight.

Casablanca Soul

Casablanca has been recommended as one of the best bars in Europe by the Guardian. Located in Fira, it has a balcony with great views and a tasteful focus on the funk/soul music vibe, with an assortment of fine DJs. Palia Kameni bar looks directly out over the volcano and the small islets across the bay. The bar is a cafe by day so has a traditional feel with fantastic service, it offers the best views of the rose gold setting sun.

Crystal Cocktail Bar

This bar is a lounge bar with stunning views over the Caldera, so is great to sit and enjoy a slow cocktail with low, ambient background music. Enjoy one of their in-house specialities like the ‘volcano’ cocktail. 

Mylos

For a real treat, spend an evening at Mylo’s bar/restaurant. Located in the unmissable, old windmill in Firostefani, here is an upscale bar with fine dining options and desserts to perfectly complement your drink and the stunning vista.

Tranquilo

Tranquilo is a fantastic place to relax at a place that reminds you of a Caribbean bar from the movies. With its colorful and exotic interior, try one of their great Latin cocktails or join in in the salsa dancing party. Sometimes there are live music performances as well.

Night Flight

On Kamari beach is Night Flight bar, located so close to the airport and is thus inspired by it. It is open air roofed so, as the aeroplanes take off, you can see them dazzle you with their lights above, amongst the pitch black night sky. It also has a relaxed feeling, away from the busier crowds near Fira.

Tango

Tango bar presents a calm vibe earlier in the evening, with a classical interior and great views over both the sea and cliffside. Starting early for light chillout music, as the night progresses the music becomes louder and they play more funky tunes.

MoMix

MoMix is leading the charge in Santorini for the new trend in molecular cocktail mixing, which will leave you curious about what’s in your cocktail as much as it’s taste. The creations they come up with though are great, and with a sci-fi, neon interior to compliment them.

Kira Thira Jazz Bar

Kira Thira is a well-known jazz bar and lounge that is a great place to chill out if you want to get away from electronic music and listen to something different. Located in the centre of town, this is a sophisticated place with the best Sangria on the island. If you’re looking for somewhere popular with tourists, live music and more of a rock vibe, then Murphy’s is the place. With three levels, of different entertainment, you’ll also find the largest assortment of beers available here.

Nightclubs

The best nightclubs are located in the capital of Fira, and are well known for being open until the not-so-small hours in the morning, particularly in the summer months where people party hard after relaxing at the beach all day.

Koo Club

Koo club is the most famous club on Santorini and for good reason. It has three bars located outside and the interior is dedicated to the dance floor, which is usually packed. Throughout the night the music played is usually mainstream, but it heads towards more Greek club music by the end of the night.

Enigma

Enigma is located inside a cave with an innovative and enigmatic interior. The music scene is typically electronic and house, yet you can find special guest DJ nights with hip-hop or Greek music alternatives.

Mamounia Club

If you’re looking to pull an all-nighter and really want to party hard and get a taste of the islands true spirit, try Mamounia club. This is a Greek club with a focus entirely on Greek music, so it’s is incredibly popular with the locals. People don’t typically turn up before 01:00 am and party hard and dance socially until sunrise. You might not understand the songs but you’re guaranteed to have fun.
