This restaurant also has a lot of options in vegetable dishes. You can order a set 4, 5 or 6-course menu for between 40 – 60€, a great steal.

A delicious waffle house that serves a vast array of exciting toppings. The restaurant also has a great range for those avoiding dairy with a huge number of vegan substitutes both on the waffles and in your coffee and tea, too. There’s even a vegan Nutella! The restaurant is clean, warm and welcoming and you’ll be sure to find something you love on the menu. Worth a try for something diffident from the usual.

Serving delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch, Omelegg is a great, snug and cheap omlettery and worth a visit for those wanting a delicious meal without breaking the bank. The majority of the menu is all under 10€ and (obviously) revolves around eggs. You can even get some great breakfast deals – such as the ‘Good Morning’ with a juice, hot drink, 2 eggs, ham, salami, cheese, bread, jam and butter for 12.50€!!! There’re multiple chains around, too, so you don’t have to travel far to find one.

Bagels and Beans, you guessed it, serves a variety of stacked bagels both sweet, savoury and warm for breakfast and lunch. They also sell porridge, gourmet yoghurt, pies and other sweet treats as well as juices and coffees. They’re all organic, fair trade and nice and cheap!

You can’t go past the window here without wanting to go in! De Laatste Kruimel is a delicious bakery in the heart of Amsterdam that serves delicious, made-to-order fresh cakes, tarts, pies, croissants and more! It’s tiny though and popular, so if you can’t get a seat inside, take your treat to go and find a nice spot to sit by the water’s edge! Apparently, the croissant French toast is the best!
