Arriving at Ho Chi Minh Airport

As soon as you land at Ho Chi Minh Airport and enter the relevant terminal building, you’ll need to follow the signs directing you to the Arrivals Hall. If you arrive at the domestic terminal from another airport in Vietnam, you likely won’t need to go through immigration. Those coming from an international destination will be required to go through passport control. At this stage, the border guard will ask you to present any necessary travel documents, including your passport and a visa, should you need one. In some cases, it’s possible to secure a visa on arrival, though you might find you need to secure one before you arrive.

After immigration, you’ll proceed to Baggage Reclaim to collect any checked luggage before going through customs. Be sure to check the customs regulations for Vietnam before your trip, as you may be carrying goods to declare.
