What’s next?
After you’ve checked in for your flight, dropped off any luggage and collected your boarding pass, you can make your way through Security to reach the Las Vegas Airport Departures Area. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has restrictions on what you can carry in your hand luggage. You’ll be asked to empty your pockets and place any items into a tub, along with shoes, belts, hats and laptops. You will also need to separate any liquids in containers greater than 100 mL (3.4 oz) and place them in a clear plastic bag ready for scanning.
While multiple security lanes are available to reduce congestion, they aren’t always open at the same time, which can extend wait times to up to 40 minutes during peak periods. For a faster and more efficient experience, self-service screening is available for certain passengers using TSA PreCheck. This service allows you to skip all of the security clearance steps, however, it is best for frequent flyers since it costs $70 (€65) and requires registering in advance.
*If your flight departs from the Satellite Terminal/D Gates and you don’t have any checked baggage, you can use either terminal to pass through security.
