London City Airport has one main terminal that hosts a modest collection of airlines. Whether you’re picking up friends and family or arriving yourself, you can check flight information by using our live London City Airport arrivals board or by checking the screens in the terminal building.

Arrivals at London City Airport

When arriving at London City Airport, follow the signs for baggage claim. You’ll then reach the passport control area, where there are two queues available: one for UK and EU passport holders and another for all other travellers. If you fall under the latter, make sure you have the necessary travel documents required for entry into the UK.

Next, head to pick up your luggage at baggage claim and then walk through customs, exiting into the Arrivals Hall. If you have items to declare, make sure you use the red channel. It’s important to review customs regulations prior to your journey.

*Travellers with biometric passports from eligible countries can utilize the e-passport gates for expedited clearance through London City Airport’s arrivals procedures.

London City Airport Transport

From London City Airport arrivals terminal, you can access the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) service which connects East London to the London Underground system. London City Airport DLR station is easily accessed from the terminal via lifts, with overground services running multiple times a day from the airport to various stations in London including Bank, Canning Town, and Stratford International in less than 30 minutes. 

There are ticket machines for public transport services in the public arrivals area, as well as at the train station. You’ll also find car rental companies, airport taxis, and private transfer services.

What to do in London City Airport’s Arrivals Hall?

Even though the airport is the smallest of the five airports serving London, London City Airport’s Arrivals Hall still offers all the necessary facilities and services for arriving passengers. The terminal building is split between two levels, with the Arrivals Hall located on the ground floor. There, you’ll find information points, ticket counters, currency exchange and cash services, taxi and private transfer services, and car rental services. 

You can also take advantage of a selection of shops, restaurants, and cafes such as WHSmith, Soul and Grain, and Pret A Manger.

There are two London City Airport parking options for picking up arrivals. The on-site car park can be booked in advance or you can drive in and pay on the day, whereas the pick-up parking area doesn’t accept online reservations.
