Arriving at Manila Airport

Once you touch down at Manila Airport, follow the signs to passport control. If you’re flying domestically and arrive at Terminal 2 or 4, you may not have to go through passport control. However, Manila Airport Terminal 1 and 3 arrivals will need to pass border control.

This process can be lengthy. To cut down on time, line up in the correct lane for the passport you’re holding. You should also have all relevant travel documentation ready to screen.

After passing passport control, follow the signs to baggage reclaim. There will be screens to indicate which conveyor belt will be delivering your luggage.

Now you have your belongings, head towards customs. Customs is divided into two lanes: “nothing to declare” and “goods to declare”. If you have nothing to declare, walk straight through. If you have goods to declare, wait in the appropriate area to speak to a customs officer.

After passing through customs, you’ll finally reach the Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport Arrivals Hall.

Manila Airport Transport

The main methods of transportation for Manila Airport arrivals are taxis, buses, and rental cars.

Taking a taxi is the fastest and simplest way to get to Manila city centre and beyond. You’ll get to Manila in around 30 minutes, though pricing varies. This is because there are three different types of taxis available at Manila Airport with differing pricing structures.

If you’d prefer the peace of mind of a fixed rate agreed in advance, consider booking a private airport taxi from a top-rated company like Welcome Pickups.

As for public transport, the City Bus Route 2 will take you to Manila in 1 hour. However, luggage storage is extremely limited.

Finally, you can hire a car from any of the car rental kiosks in the Manila Airport Arrival Halls.

What to do in Arrivals at Manila Airport?

Things to do in Arrivals depend on the terminal. That said, all terminals have toilets, baby change facilities, water refilling stations, porter services, charging points, currency exchange, ATMs and free WiFi.

Manila International Airport Terminal 1 Arrivals has a prayer room, post office, café and airport lounge. Terminal 3 offers restaurants and coffee spots including Dunkin’.
