The official Mauritius Airport name, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, was chosen in honour of the country’s first prime minister. As the only airport on the island, Mauritius Airport is a critical hub for tourism, welcoming more than four million passengers annually. There is only one terminal, which hosts the home-grown carrier, Air Mauritius, as well as major airlines such as Condor, Air France and British Airways.
