Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is set out over three large terminals: A, B and C. The airport serves 30 major airlines, offering both domestic and international flights. Newark Airport arrivals welcome around 43 million passengers per year, making it the 13th busiest airport in the United States. Terminal A
Location – You can find the Newark Airport Terminal A arrivals on Level 1.

Arriving at Newark Liberty Airport
After disembarking the plane, you will begin to follow signs for ‘Passport Control’. Before entering the main hall, you will pass by a few bathroom facilities, we recommend using these before entering Passport Control as the wait times can be up to 2 hours during very busy periods. Once you enter Passport Control, you will need to choose the correct line. There will be a Global Entry area, a US Citizen line and a Foreign Visitor line. In an attempt to shorten wait times, Newark Airport international arrivals have provided the option to use the Mobile Passport Control app (MPC). Eligible people will be able to pre-upload all of their information and documents and enter their own fast-track queue in customs.
Be sure to have your passport and all necessary documents ready to show the Border and Customs officer. After making your way through Passport Control, you will then arrive in the Baggage Claim area, where you can collect your personal belongings. To find your airline’s carousel, you check the screens provided. Once you have all your luggage, you can make your way through customs and out into arrivals at Newark Airport.

Newark Airport has fantastic connections to Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs in New York City. The Newark Airport Express Bus will get you into the heart of Manhattan in 60 minutes, while taking a combo of the AirTrain, Newark local line and NJ Transit train will get you into the Big Apple in just 45 minutes. Local taxis are also available just outside of Newark Airport Terminal A arrivals, Terminal B and Terminal C 24/7, and will take just 30 minutes to reach your hotel in Manhattan. There are plenty of ways to stay entertained, freshen up after a long flight, or grab a bite to eat in arrivals at Newark Airport. All three terminals have spacious bathrooms, complimentary fast Wi-Fi, charging stations, money exchange houses, car rental services and nursing stations. You can also enjoy a quick coffee before heading to your hotel, or have a sit-down meal before continuing on to the next leg of your journey. Newark Airport Arrivals Parking
If you’re expecting a pickup, there are two different parking options for your loved ones: Short-Term Parking and Daily Parking. There is a short-term parking lot outside of Newark Airport Terminal A arrivals and another between Terminal B and C. Prices for short-term parking start at $5.25 (€5) for 30 minutes. For slightly more economical parking, you can use the daily parking lot which is located in the P4 Garage, a short walk from the terminals. The cost for the daily parking lot will be $4.25 (€4) for 30 minutes.
