Girona Airport – Live Departures

Girona Airport Departures Information

There are two ways to check in for Girona Airport departures: at your airline’s check-in desk or online in advance. If you decide to check in at the airport, you’ll need to present the correct travel documents (non-Schengen flight passengers) and drop your luggage off as well.

To find your check-in desk, you can check the screens in the terminal or our live Girona Airport Departures board.

Alternatively, many airlines provide online check-in options via the mobile app or official website, up to 24 hours before departure. If you only have carry-on luggage, you can go directly to security upon arriving at the airport. However, if you are travelling with luggage, you still need to check your bags in at the check-in desks.

When to arrive for Girona Airport departures

What’s next?

Following check-in, make sure you have your boarding pass handy and head towards security. There are separate entrances for people with restricted mobility and families with young kids. At the entrance, a member of staff will check your boarding pass and direct you to the correct line.

Before your departure from Girona Airport, it’s vital to brush up on what you can and can’t pack in your cabin bags. Pack your liquids into clear 100 ml containers and place them in a transparent plastic bag. Once you’re at security, remember to separate your liquids and any electronic devices into the trays, place your bags on the belt and walk through the security scanner.

Security waiting times at Girona Airport are usually between 10 to 20 minutes. However, you may end up waiting longer during peak season.
