Cairo International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the Middle East and is the busiest airport in Africa. It has three main terminals and a fourth seasonal terminal reserved for Muslims traveling to and from Hajj. Terminal 1, 2, and 3 handle all of the domestic, regional, and international departures; however, Terminal 1 and 3 handle Arrivals. Terminal 1 also has a hall reserved just for private jets and commercial flights.

There are three parking buildings at Cairo Airport. The first is within Terminal 1 which has 10 parking lots for short and long-term parking. Terminal 3 also has parking for 1,300 cars. Between Terminals 1 and 3, there is a multi-storey garage with capacity for 3,000 cars. An automated train will shuttle you between all three passenger terminals.

Terminal Information

Cairo International Airport is a large airport with four terminals across multiple buildings. Terminal 1 is the oldest building with four distinct halls, handling both domestic, regional, and international flights. Terminal 2 is the smallest of the terminals with 7 boarding gates. There is a bridge between Terminals 2 and 3. Terminal 3 is the largest of the terminals, with the capacity to service over 11 million passengers alone. The final terminal, Terminal 4, is reserved for assisting Muslim passengers traveling to and from Hajj. All four terminals are fully equipped with basic facilities for a comfortable transit, including bathrooms, baby change facilities, free Wi-Fi, prayer rooms, and ample seating.
