Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA), known simply as Catania Airport, is the main gateway to the island of Sicily in Italy. Located just 5 km from its namesake city of Catania, the airport oversees more than 10 million passengers a year, making it the busiest airport in Sicily, followed by Palermo International Airport (PMO).
Home to around 40 airlines, the airport at Catania mostly offers flights with well-known budget carriers such as RyanAir, Wizz Air, and easyJet, and local carriers ITA Airways and AeroItalia.

There are more than 80 wheelchairs available which should be booked through your airline or travel agent 48 hours in advance, otherwise, you may request one on arrival. Terminal Information
Vincenzo Bellini Catania Airport features two main terminals, Terminals A and C. Terminal A is used for domestic flights, as well as international flights outside the Schengen Zone. However, all flights land at Terminal A, regardless of their origin. Terminal C is used only for Schengen Zone departures, with Immigration and baggage collection taking place in Terminal A.
While there isn’t a shuttle bus service between terminals, they are within easy walking distance of each other, taking just 5 minutes.
