Arriving at Chania Airport

After exiting the plane, you will either follow the marked paths along the tarmac or head inside through the connecting bridges. Once inside the main terminal, you will see signs for “Chania Airport Arrivals”. Follow these signs to Passport Control. Here, you will need to have all the necessary documentation at hand to show to the staff as you pass through. If you’re an EU citizen flying in from another Schengen country, you may be able to bypass Passport Control and head straight to baggage claim. If you’re an international visitor, or flying from a non-Schengen country, you will need to wait in line to see a passport agent.

After exiting Passport Control, you will then pass through into the Baggage Claim hall. Here, there will be monitors on each carousel, showing which flight the baggage belongs to. If you have any questions about your baggage, there will be staff members in this area to help you. After collecting your luggage, you can head through customs and out into Arrivals at Chania Airport.
