How to get from Chania Airport to Rethymno

Fortunately, there is a direct KTEL bus service connecting Chania Airport to Rethymno. The KTEL bus departs 4 to 5 times per day and stops at KTEL Rethymno Station in the city. The trip takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes and tickets cost just €7.30 per person.

Alternatively, you can always use the local buses in order to reach the Central Station in Chania, which run every half an hour. From there, you will have to take the intercity bus to Rethymno KTEL station. However, apart from the hassle of changing buses, the total fare is higher than the direct service.
