Arriving at Kuala Lumpur Airport

International arrivals at Kuala Lumpur Airport will need to go through Border Control; as you disembark, follow the signs to ‘Immigration’. If you’re connecting between two domestic or two international flights, you can skip this step and simply make your way to the Departures Hall.

Before travelling to Malaysia, it’s important to check whether you need to apply for a visa and which documents need to be presented to Immigration alongside your passport. Once you’ve cleared Immigration, make your way to the Baggage Carousels to collect any luggage. Lastly, you’ll need to pass through Customs and declare any listed items before exiting into the Arrivals Hall.

The entire arrival process at Kuala Lumpur can be quite lengthy, with wait times of up to one hour. For those who prefer to skip the queue so they can begin their holiday sooner, a Priority Lane Pass can be purchased for €19.70 (MYR 100), granting you access to a dedicated fast lane at Immigration.

*Arrivals to the Satellite Terminal will be transported via a 5-10 minute shuttle to the Main Terminal to be processed through Immigration.
