Arriving at Santorini Airport
Flights to Thira Airport land on a small runway. Once the plane is ready for disembarkation, passengers will either head to the terminal on foot or hop on small airport buses, depending on the distance from the terminal. Santorini Airport is about 5 km from Fira, the island’s capital, and about 17 km from Oia, Santorini’s most famous village. You can reach either by taking the local bus (KTEL), which departs directly outside Santorini Airport hourly during the summer.
If you prefer to enjoy some privacy and reach your accommodation directly, you can take an airport taxi from the rank in front of the terminal or pre-book a private airport taxi to have a driver waiting for you inside Santorini Airport Arrivals Hall.
What to do in Arrivals at Santorini Airport?
Santorini Airport Arrivals area is quite small so there is not much to do. Besides the basic facilities, restrooms, an ATM, and Lost and Found offices, you will only find Connect Phone; there you can purchase a local SIM card and other accessories for your mobile phone. If you’re looking to grab a bite or a drink, there is a bakery in the departures area which is accessible to everyone and a restaurant outside the terminal.

Parking at Santorini Airport Arrivals is allowed in the open space in front of the terminal; it’s public and free of charge. However, spaces are limited so if you’re heading to the airport to pick someone up during peak hours, you may not be able to park in front of the terminal for long.
