After landing to Santorini International Airport (JTR), you can choose between two transfer options, taxi and bus. Santorini airport taxis are the most commodious and labor-saving way of transportation. The journey lasts 25 minutes, under no congestion and the taxi fare is approximately 47€. On the other hand, taking the bus is a much more tedious task. Taxis are always available at Santorini Airport
Where do I get it from?
The taxi rank is located just outside the arrivals hall. Exit the terminal building and you will find the taxi line in front of you. However, during the high summer season, you may have to wait in line for a taxi or even share it with strangers!
Convenience
Taxis are by far the most convenient way of transportation. Besides being available 24/7, a taxi will take you directly to your destination without having to change bus itineraries or being crowded in public transport. Moreover, your personal belongings won’t be exposed and you will be dropped off at your desired location. Nevertheless, airport taxis in Santorini are few, so the waiting time for a taxi may be long while you may have to share your taxi without sharing the fee!
Editor’s Note
As Santorini airport taxis are limited and don't manage to cover the high demand, the waiting time for a taxi may be significant, especially during summer. Moreover, it's likely that you will have to share your ride as taxis usually get full before leaving the airport.
