Arriving at Sarajevo Airport

More than 70 countries have a visa-free agreement with Bosnia and Herzegovina, allowing citizens to visit for up to 90 days. The agreement includes all nations within the European Union. Nevertheless, all Sarajevo International Airport arrivals will still need to present a valid passport on arrival, with at least 6 months validity.

If you do not fall within the visa-free category, you will need to apply for a visa before traveling and have this ready to present on arrival.

After clearing Passport Control, passengers should follow the signs toward “Baggage Claim,” where they can refer to the screens above each conveyor belt to find the one that corresponds with their flight.

The final step is to clear Customs. If you have nothing to declare, you can simply exit into the Arrivals Hall. Otherwise, you will need to present your luggage to the customs officer on duty.
