Sarajevo Airport Live Departures
Checking in at Sarajevo Airport
The Sarajevo Airport departures area is divided across three levels, with check-in counters located on the lower level. If you’re flying overseas, you will likely need to check in directly at your airline’s counter as you may need to present additional documents for the country you are flying to.
Otherwise, you can take advantage of an online check-in, allowing you to save time at the airport. Keep in mind, however, that only certain airlines such as Croatia Airlines, Air Serbia, and Wizz Air offer this service, and you may still need to approach the counter to have your boarding pass printed.
Similarly, there are now two self-service kiosks available, although if you need to check in any bags, you will need to approach the Bag Drop counter, where a member of staff will print your boarding pass.

What’s next?
Once you have your printed boarding pass, make your way to the Immigration area on the first floor. If you’re flying domestically, you won’t need to worry about this and can head straight to the domestic Security gates.
All departures at Sarajevo Airport need to clear Security before entering the boarding area. To help you prepare, we recommend separating all liquids, gels, creams, and aerosols with a volume of less than 100 mL into a clear plastic bag before arriving at the airport. Anything over this will need to be packed into your checked luggage, otherwise, you risk it being confiscated by security personnel.
Additionally, laptops, cameras, tablets, and other electronics, along with any outer garments such as jackets, hats, and belts, will need to be removed and placed in one of the tubs provided. Metal items such as keys, coins, and phones should also be removed from your pockets.
The security line generally moves fairly quickly, so long as there aren’t too many flights departing at once. However, during the busier summer months, this isn’t always the case, and you might find yourself rushing to meet your flight.
To avoid any added stress, you can purchase a Fast Track pass online or at the airport for €10 (BAM 19.50). That way, you can breeze past any long lines and relax in a restaurant or cafe instead.
