Zurich Airport Arrivals Information

Zurich Airport (ZRH) has three different terminals;  A, B and E. Terminals A and B handle most of the airport’s flights, with Terminal E operating as a satellite terminal for non-shengen flights only. There are two arrivals at Zurich Airport, one for Terminal B and one for Terminal A. If you fly from Terminal E, you will use the Terminal A Zurich Airport arrivals. Terminal A

Location – Arrivals Hall is on the Ground Floor

Flight Information – Terminal A offers both international and domestic flights, this terminal is Zurich Airport’s busiest. 

Terminal B

Location – Arrivals Hall is on the Ground Floor

Flight Information – Terminal B also has access to D gates, which fly to international destinations worldwide. Terminal B serves some domestic destinations, but mainly international carriers.

Arriving at Zurich Airport

Once you have disembarked the plane, you will follow the signs for “Arrivals”. After winding your way through a few corridors, you will walk up to passport control. If you’re an EU citizen travelling from a Schengen country, you will be able to bypass passport control, however, it is advisable that you keep some form of ID on hand when flying into Zurich Airport. If you’re an international visitor or an EU citizen travelling from a non-Schengen country, you will need to make your way through passport control, showing the necessary documents. To help this process go a little quicker, EU citizens with biometric passports can use the eGates. 

After passing through passport control, you will then follow signs to the “Baggage Claim” area. The carousel being used for your flight will be shown on the electronic screens as you enter baggage claim. Once you have collected your luggage, you will make your way through customs and into the Zurich Airport Arrivals area.

Zurich Airport Transport

Zurich Airport is well-connected to all major points in the city and surrounding areas. The SBB trains run daily to popular destinations in Zurich, while the trams also offer great public transport connections. You can also take local taxis from just outside of Terminal A and B at Zurich Airport, or book private transfers for a more personalised way to travel. 

*If you land in Terminal E, you will first need to take the free shuttle into Terminal A and pass through passport control and into the Arrivals Hall before taking a taxi or public transport.

Whether you’re rushing to your next destination, waiting to pick up a loved one or enjoying a quiet moment before heading to your accommodation in the city, there are plenty of great amenities and things to do in Zurich Airport Arrivals. All guests have access to free WiFi for up to 4 hours, there are currency exchange kiosks, car hire services, tour operators, information points, spacious bathrooms, transport desks, Duty-Free and ATMs available. There are also delicious food and drink options, such as Hello Bar and Hudson.

Zurich Airport Parking

There are many different parking options at Zurich Airport, whether you’re picking someone up, heading on a long-haul flight or a quick weekend getaway.


P1 is located directly next to the Terminal A building.
P2 is attached to the shopping area at Zurich Airport and Terminal B.
P3 is the closest car park to the train station and it is directly connected to Check-in 3.
P6 has great bus connections and eCharging stations, it’s a 4-minute walk to the terminals from P6.
P60 and P65 are the farthest from Zurich Airport Arrivals, but they are also the cheapest, perfect for long stays. You must pre-book both P60 and P65 online.
