If you’re travelling with carry-on luggage only, you can head straight to security after checking in to your flight. If you need to check your luggage, you can do this at the desks for Zurich departures at the airport.

When passing through security, be sure to have your ID and boarding pass at hand, as the staff will ask to see these before you can advance. You will then enter the security checkpoint where you will be asked to place all belongings, phones, tablets, keys and watches in the bins provided. Depending on the type of footwear you have on, you may also be asked to remove these and place them in the bins. It’s important to note that all liquids must be under 100 ml and must fit in one of the airport-provided clear plastic bags. You will then step through the scanners and collect your items on the other side.

Depending on the time you’re travelling, clearing the security checkpoint at Zurich Airpot shouldn’t take longer than 10 to 20 minutes.
