Arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

Upon disembarking your plane, you’ll use either the passenger bridge, platform or shuttle bus to reach Schiphol Airport’s arrivals area. From there, walk towards the lounges and follow the yellow signs saying ‘Baggage Hall’.

If you’re travelling from outside the Schengen zone (this includes destinations in the UK, Ireland, US, Asia, and Africa), you’ll need to pass through Passport Control. If you suspect you need a Schengen visa to enter the Netherlands, you can check Schengen regulations before flying. Queueing at Schiphol Border Control should only take 5-10 minutes, although busy periods can bump this up to 30 minutes. There are also e-passport gates available for EU citizens with biometric passports.
Finally, you can head through Amsterdam Airport customs and exit into the Arrivals Hall. Remember to check customs regulations for entering Amsterdam before travelling.

Amsterdam Airport Transport
