Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) is Amsterdam’s only airport, and where you will be landing when visiting the “Venice of the North.” There are three travel options to cover the Amsterdam Airport to Rotterdam distance; you can either take a local taxi, the train, or you can arrange an Amsterdam Airport transfer.
The most convenient way to cover the 60-kilometer distance is to take an Amsterdam Airport taxi or a private transfer. Both offer a direct and door-to-door transfer option and the trip will take between 40 minutes and 1 hour.
A cheaper and faster alternative is the train. The train will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Rotterdam Centraal station and tickets cost a fraction of the price.
*Traveling from Amsterdam Airport to Rotterdam by bus isn’t recommended since there isn’t a direct service and the trip would take significantly longer.
Welcome Pickups offers meet and greet services and a friendly introduction to Amsterdam at the same price as a regular taxi. Click here to see the cost.
