You’ll first need to board the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) train line toward Amsterdam Centraal for 15 minutes. Once you reach the central station, you can either board a tram or continue on foot for 15 minutes. Direct trains to Amsterdam Centraal station run between 06:00 and 01:00. There are also night trains running once an hour between 02:00 and 05:00.

Where do I get the train from?

Trains to Amsterdam Centraal Station leave from platforms 1, 2 or 3, which are all located one floor below the airport terminal.

Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal Station, go towards the south exit and follow the signs for CS Tram Oostzijde. From there, get on tram 26 (destination IJburg). The first stop after you board the tram will be at the cruise terminal; it’s called Muziekgebouw Bimhuis.

Having to switch transport methods halfway through your trip can be confusing and time-consuming. However, when the alternative is walking the remainder of the distance, it’s not ideal – especially if you have luggage.
