Arriving at Berlin Brandenburg Airport

If you are travelling within the Schengen area, no passport check is likely required. However, random checks do occur. Likewise, EU, EEA and Swiss electronic passport holders flying in from non-Schengen countries can access the EasyPass lanes to save time. All you have to do is scan your passport or ID, look into the camera and pass through the electronic gate.

Alternatively, if you are arriving at Berlin Brandenburg Airport from outside Europe or from a non-Schengen country, your travel documents will be checked at Berlin Airport Passport Control. So make sure you have all the correct travel documents with you. You should also check whether you require a visa for your destination – even if you’re travelling within the Schengen area.

Next, follow the signs to Baggage Claim and collect your bags. You can then walk through customs and exit into the Berlin Airport Arrivals Hall. Remember to check customs regulations for entering Germany before travelling to avoid hiccups.

Berlin Airport Transport

Transport from Berlin Airport includes airport taxis, private transfers and car rental options. Aside from ground transportation, you can also travel to the centre of Berlin via train or bus.

Short-term parking: €5 for up to 15 minutes, €11 for 30 minutes and €23 for 1 hour.
