Checking in at Miami Airport

When to arrive at Miami Airport?

After receiving your boarding pass and checking any large luggage items at your airline’s desk, you will then proceed to security. Here, you will be asked to present your passport and either electronic or physical boarding pass, so be sure to have these on hand.
In the security area, you will see different lines leading up to large scanners. Choose a line and wait for your turn. Once at the front of the line, you will then be asked to place all your personal belongings in the bins provided. Be sure to empty your pockets of change, keys, phones wallets and phones. At this point, all liquids must be under 100 ml and placed in a transparent plastic bag to be scanned. You will then place your items on the conveyor belt and proceed to walk through the body scanners. Miami Airport is also part of the TSA pre-check program, so if you qualify for this, you can use the TSA fast track lane to get through security much quicker.
After collecting your personal belongings on the other side of the scanners, you will enter the Miami Airport Departures Hall, where you will find large screens displaying your flight’s departure time and gate number.
