Nice Côte d’Azur Airport welcomes over 14 million passengers annually, which makes it the 3rd busiest airport in France after Paris Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris Orly. Its two terminals, T1 and T2, see 250 flights departing and landing every day during the peak of the summer season.
At Nice Airport, departures take place at both terminals. Before arriving at the airport, please double-check this information in your booking confirmation. Alternatively, you can refer to the live departures tracker above to check your departure’s terminal.
If you haven’t done it online, you can check in at your airline’s check-in counter or a self-service kiosk. Self-service kiosk check-in is available starting 5 hours before your scheduled departure.
If you are a resident of a non-EU country and want to claim a tax refund on eligible goods purchased in France, remember to do so before checking your luggage. You can use the ‘PABLO’ kiosk to scan the receipts at Nice Airport. The seller will automatically be informed and will refund the VAT on your debit card.

When to arrive at Nice Airport?
Check-in cut-offs differ between airlines. Check this information on your booking confirmation and allow sufficient time to complete the baggage drop-off process and security checks.
For departures from Nice Airport, plan to be at the airport at least 2 hours prior to take-off for short and medium-haul flights and 3 hours for longer journeys.

Once you have checked in and dropped your luggage, you can proceed to the identity and security checks on Level 1 in both terminals. To make the process smoother, ensure any liquids you carry do not exceed 100 ml and are packed in a see-through bag. You should also be prepared to remove all your electronic devices, cables, and chargers. Have your boarding pass and identity document ready to facilitate the checks.
Security checks are relatively quick for departures at Nice Airport. However, queuing to reach the check areas can take a while, especially in summer. Allow at least 1 hour to complete the process, and more if you travel outside the Schengen area, as identity checks can take longer. To speed up the checks, you can purchase a Fast Tack pass that grants access to a dedicated fast lane.
After security, you will find shops, restaurants and airport lounges where you can read, relax, or grab a drink. Seating areas are available, as are power stations to charge your devices. Little ones can make the most of the play areas. Scheduled departures from Nice Airport are displayed throughout the area, making checking your gate and flight status easy.

At Nice Airport, departure areas in both terminals offer various amenities to passengers. You will find a selection of shops and duty-free shops for last-minute purchases and souvenirs, as well as eateries where you can get a snack or a drink before boarding.
Nice Airport Departures—Terminal 1: Two lounges offer complimentary drinks and snacks, workstations, and a relaxing space to read, listen to music, or watch videos.
Nice Airport Departures—Terminal 2: In T2, you will also find a lounge offering the same services alongside various shops selling French fashion and products.
